The Beginning of India’s Cocktail Culture Movement
Delhi Cocktail Week 2015 marked the inception of a new era in India’s cocktail scene—a week that redefined how the city experienced mixology, nightlife, and social drinking.
Held in December 2015, the festival brought together 110+ bars and restaurants across Delhi NCR, creating a citywide celebration of cocktail craftsmanship.
From curated experiences to high-energy nights, Delhi Cocktail Week introduced the capital to:
Signature cocktail menus across leading venues
Interactive masterclasses on mixology
Lively pub crawls across the city
Cocktail competitions and showcase events
Tasting sessions led by global experts
It was a perfect blend of education, entertainment, and indulgence, setting the tone for what cocktail culture could become in India.
The festival featured an exceptional lineup of international and Indian mixologists, including:
Hemant Pathak (New York), Andrea Fidora (Dubai), Antonio Lai (Hong Kong), Evgenya Prazdnik (Goa), and Evgeniy Kuznetsov (Belarus).
Their presence elevated the experience, offering guests a chance to explore world-class cocktail techniques and innovations.
Delhi Cocktail Week partnered with some of the city’s most iconic venues including PCO, The Beer Café, Café Delhi Heights, Mamagoto, The Westin, Le Méridien, Summer House Café, Raasta, Hard Rock Café, and many more.
Together, they transformed Delhi into a dynamic cocktail trail, bringing diverse flavors and experiences under one unified celebration.
Conceptualized by Elixir Coterie, Delhi Cocktail Week was created to bring together a community of alcohol connoisseurs and elevate the perception of cocktails, beers, and wines in India.
Founded in 2014, Elixir Coterie aimed to create meaningful social experiences through curated events, mixology sessions, and community-driven gatherings.
Delhi Cocktail Week was not just about great drinks—it was about building a culture.
From accessible experiences to premium showcases, the festival successfully balanced affordability with aspiration, making it appealing to both enthusiasts and first-time explorers.
As the first-ever Cocktail Week in India, the 2015 Delhi edition laid the foundation for what would soon become a multi-city celebration across the country.
It introduced a new way for people to explore nightlife—
through craft, creativity, and community.
Delhi Cocktail Week 2015 wasn’t just a starting point—
